(WASHINGTON) - The number of laid off workers filing for unemployment benefits rose last week to the highest level in nearly two months.
In Indiana, there was increase of 2,158 jobless claims last week -- the third largest in the nation.
The layoffs in Michigan and Indiana are attributed in part to higher layoffs in the auto industry.
