(PENDLETON) - Pendleton town officials are negotiating to buy a 71-acre golf club.
Don Henderson, Pendleton town council president says it would make a good addition to the town's park system and he envisions a network of trails across the wooded area of the golf club.
The only problem is whether revenue from the club would be enough to pay back a loan for the purchase.
Factories moving out of the county hurt the local economy, and the golf club has suffered as a result.
