(WHITESTOWN) - Boone County is about to make way for 1,200 new jobs.
Seattle-based internet retailer Amazon.com announced Friday night its plans to bring a warehouse to Whitestown by 2010.
The warehouse will employ 1,200 full-time workers and as many as 1,700 part-timers each holiday season.
The first batch of workers will be hired by late May or early June. Average pay for the employees will be around $15-dollars an hour.
