(UNDATED) - While there’s talk of a national recession, one Indiana investment analyst doesn’t see why.

Denny Smith with The Mutual Fund Store says he thinks the power of suggestion and the continued talk of a pending recession has led to the most recent market indicators.

Smith says if a recession does become more than just talk, it won't last very long - maybe 1 to 3 months. The markets hit their lowest point in mid-January.

Smith says trends indicate the pendulum will swing the positive direction by July with the stock market leading the charge.

Smith adds continued lowering of the interest rate will have the positive effect the federal reserve is hoping for at some point.
