(NEW YORK) - It’s Fashion Week in New York, where the hottest designers show off the trends that will eventually end up in Central Indiana.
One of this year's models hails from suburban Indianapolis, and at least one local photographer is shooting the runway shows.
Indianapolis is home to an up-and-coming crop of designers, including Nikki Blaine. Blaine says what you see on the Style network and E! Is accurate - fashion week is filled with fabulous parties, clothing, and celebrity sightings. She says Fashion Week is the pinnacle for any designer, and she hopes to have a show there in the next couple of years.
Blaine says trends that come out of Fashion Week usually take about six months to a year to reach the Midwest.
