Cabela Holding Off On New Store Opening

(GREENWOOD) - Our partners at Inside Indiana Business have confirmed that plans for a Cabela’s store in Greenwood are on hold.
Spokesman John Castillo says the Nebraska-based company will only open two new stores this year due to a challenging retail environment. The company was expected to open seven new stores this year.
Cabela's had previously told greenwood officials that the store would attract about 3 million visitors annually.
The outdoor outfitter has 26 operating stores, including one in Hammond, Indiana.
