(TERRE HAUTE) - Workers won’t be sure of exact poundage for a couple of days, but Santa’s E-Scrap Super Saturday in Terre Haute was one for the record books.

Vehicles lined the streets for the electronics recycling collection program. Residents and businesses dropped off computers, televisions and other old electronic equipment.

Co-sponsors of the project include the Indiana State University Recycling Center and Recycle Force. Recycle Force is an Indiana Workforce Development effort out of Indianapolis which hires recently released prisoners to process and recycle electronics.

The program provides the individuals with job training and references for future employment.
