(UNDATED) - Small businesses are the backbone of Indiana’s economy, so says Lieutenant Governor Becky Skillman.
She says Indiana small businesses have added 60 thousand new jobs since 2005, which account for 14 billion dollars in private capital investment.
Indiana is also outperforming other states in attracting new jobs. She says Indiana wins 90 percent of the time when competing with other states for new jobs.
She admits solving the state's property tax woes will get most of the attention this legislative session, but adds small businesses will not be overlooked.
