Former Mayor Takes Over Indiana Toll Road

(INDIANAPOLIS) - Former LaPorte Mayor Leigh Morris is the new executive director of the Indiana toll road.
Morris will also serve as the new director of the Northwest Indiana Regional Development Authority, replacing gubernatorial adviser John Clark.
Morris was an early supporter of the lease of the toll road to a Spanish firm. As executive director, he'll oversee Cintra's compliance with the deal's requirements for maintaining the road.
Morris lost his reelection bid to Democrat Kathleen Chroback in November.
