(GARY) - Some Northwest Indiana officials are concerned about what Canadian National Railway’s purchase of Illinois-based Elgin, Joliet and Eastern Railway Co. will mean for their communities.
Canadian National says the purchase will speed rail traffic through Chicago, but officials in Griffith, Schererville, Dyer and Gary say rail traffic will triple in their communities.
