(PITTSBURGH) - PPG Industries says affiliates of a California firm want out of a 500 million dollar deal to buy PPG’s automotive original equipment and replacement glass and service businesses.

If the deal falls through, PPG says it will continue to explore selling or restructuring the automotive glass and service businesses.

The businesses have 4,400 employees in the U.S. and Canada, including a plant in Evansville.
