Dairy Construction Halted Following Citizen Appeal

(LOGANSPORT) - Construction of a new dairy in Northern Carroll County is on hold.
An attorney for a citizens action group filed a formal appeal following the grant of building permits by the Indiana Office of Enviornmental Management on December 10th. Concerns over potential water contamination is the reason for the appeal.
IDEM approved of the Optima Dairy's construction following a lengthy review. But the appeal contends the agency did not thoroughly consider the environmental impact of such a facility.
