Clarksville Plant To Close By Years End

Last updated on Monday, December 3, 2007

(CLARKSVILLE) - Time is running out for Clarksville’s Colgate-Palmolive plant, which will close later this month.

At its peak in the mid-1960s, the plant employed 1,500 workers who made toothpaste, shaving cream and cleansers.

It's not known what will happen to the plant's landmark clock that can be seen for miles along the Ohio River.
