200 Jay's Potato Chip Workers To Lose Jobs
Last updated on Friday, December 07, 2007
(HANOVER, PA.) - The new owner of a Jays potato-chip factory in Jeffersonville says it’ll reduce the total Jays’ workforce by about 200 jobs.
Jays has a second plant in Chicago, and it's not clear where the cuts will come. Snyder's of Hanover says it did all it could to preserve as many jobs as it could.
Snyder's bought Jays' foods Tuesday at a bankruptcy auction. Jays also makes Krunchers potato chips and O-ke-Doke popcorn.
