Toll Road Employees Could Unionize

(SOUTH BEND) - Indiana toll road fare collectors will vote next month on joining a union.
If a majority votes in favor, the collectors will be represented by one of four teamsters union locals depending on where they work along the 157-mile highway.
Union officials say workers are concerned about job security. The toll road came under new management last year, when an private company signed a 75-year, nearly 4 billion dollar lease to manage the road.
ITR Concession says it's working with employees to make working along the toll road a good experience.
About 244 full- and part-time fare collectors will vote December 14th.
