Nipsco To Purchase To Natural Gas Power Plants

(MERRILLVILLE) - Merrillville-based Nipsco says it is moving forward with plans to purchase two natural gas-fired generating facilities for approximately 539 million dollars.
The Sugar Creek plant in Terre Haute and the Whiting clean energy plant in Whiting have a combined capacity of 1,060 megawatts.
