(UNDATED) - Even though Thanksgiving is still a few days away, the travel rush has already begun at Indianapolis International Airport.
While some ticket counters were slow, long lines were forming at others. Some people are choosing to take longer vacations this holiday season, while others say the flights today were simply cheaper than waiting until next week.
Next week, the Pentagon is opening up unused military airspace between Florida and Maine to create a travel "express lane" for the weekend. President bush ordered the change to help accommodate the large travel crush expected in the next few days.
27-million people are expected to fly someplace for the Thanksgiving holiday.
