(UNDATED) - Medco Health Solutions Incorporated is spending 150 million dollars to build an automated pharmacy in Central Indiana that will create 1300 jobs by 2012.

Indiana Economic Development Corporation Director Nate Feltman says the New Jersey-based company has picked possible sites for the pharmacy in Johnson, Hendricks and Boone counties. It expects to announce the location in a month.

Company officials say they plan to build the world's largest and most advanced automated pharmacy, one capable of filling a million prescriptions per week.

Medco chose Central Indiana as its location after looking at 21 different cities, including Louisville.

Medco plans to hire more than 100 pharmacists and fill a range of other jobs. Hiring will start next year.
