(INDIANAPOLIS) - A group of free trade opponents from across the state is banding together to take a stand against future trade deals.

Coming on the heels of Visteon's plan to lay off 700 workers at their Connersville facility, Jim Benham with the Indiana Farmers Union says enough is enough. Benham says the expansion of NAFTA by the U.S. Senate could put thousands of Hoosier jobs in jeopardy.

Reverend Darren Cushman-Wood with Speedway United Methodist Church says there's nothing wrong with free trade, but it must be done fairly.

The Senate wants to expand the North American Free Trade Agreement to include Peru. That is expected to come up for debate next week.
