(MUNCIE) - A Muncie restaurant owner says he has no intention of changing the name of his business despite a letter threatening legal action by a chain with a similar trademark.

Attorneys for the Morton's of Chicago Steakhouse chain sent a letter this week to Ty Morton, the owner of Morton's Pub and Grub. The steakhouse chain is warning him that his restaurant's name infringed on the company's trademark.

Morton's has 60 restaurants around the country, including an Indiana location.

Ty Morton claims no one will mistake a husband-and-wife-owned, 40-seat Irish pub for a Morton's steakhouse. His establishment opened Tuesday.
