(ANDERSON) - Anderson Mayor Kevin Smith is speaking out publicly on the proposed move of Indianapolis Metropolitan Airport from Fishers to Southwest Madison County.
Smith says it is an issue that officials really have to examine and study. He says something's going to move there and good government is good policy and good planning.
Smith says whether or not it will work is uncertain right now. However, smith says that if the airport project represents an opportunity for great investment and great job growth, it's worth examining and he's very much in favor of that.
