(GREENWOOD) - Nestle Waters North America announced today it will locate its new Nestle Pure Life brand water bottling operation in Greenwood, Indiana—creating more than 60 new jobs.
The company will invest more than $30 million to equip its new 215-thousand-square-foot high-speed bottling facility. When operational in 2008, the plant will produce up to one million bottles of Nestle Pure Life and Nestle Pure Life Naturally Favored Water daily.
Nestle's decision to locate the new water bottling facility in Indiana is the third major investment by Nestle in Indiana since July 2006. In June, Nestle announced it would invest more than $30 million in its Dreyer's Grand Ice Cream production facility in Fort Wayne, creating 68 new jobs.
In July 2006, Nestle announced its plans to build a combined production and distribution facility in Anderson for its nestle Nesquick ready-to-drink and Nestle coffee-mate products. That project is expected to create 300 new jobs.
