Last updated on Thursday, September 27, 2007
(FORT WAYNE) - Fort Wayne Mayor Graham Richard says the city has met its goal of a billion dollars in new private-sector investment within three years.
Richard says the city actually hit the mark six months ahead of his self-imposed deadline.
Among the largest investment pledges: a 62-million-dollar expansion of Lutheran Hospital, and a 70-million-dollar commitment from Verizon to bring Fios fiberoptic internet to the city.
