Daniels Travels To Japan For Trade Visit
(UNDATED) - This week’s trade visit to Japan marks the third straight year Governor Daniels has led a Hoosier delegation there. But Daniels says the well of new business hasn’t run dry yet.
Daniels says Indiana has brought in more jobs with Japanese companies than any state the last three years, and has the most Japan-linked jobs per capita of any state. He says as long as the trips keep generating jobs, he'll keep making them.
Daniels is attending the Midwest-U.S.-Japan conference in Tokyo today and tomorrow. He says this year's trip was planned around that meeting, as a chance to meet with several companies at once.
Four state legislators and seven mayors are also part of a 67-member Indiana delegation.
