Daniels Announces 2 Taiwanese Companies Expanding In Indiana
(INDIANAPOLIS) - Governor Mitch Daniels, before his trip to Japan on Friday, announced 2 Taiwanese companies will either open or expand operations in Indiana.
Daniels traveled to Taiwan in 2005 to attract businesses to the Hoosier State and attracted the attention of 2 companies.
FoxConn, who provides storage and assembly services for the computer industry, will expand its operations in Plainfield adding an estimated 1,400 new jobs. Another high-tech firm, ASUS, who makes computer components including motherboards, will relocate their Louisville help desk to Jeffersonville, IN, adding an estimated 300 jobs.
Governor Daniels' trip to Japan, which started Friday, is aimed at attracting even more Asian firms to Indiana.
