(ANDERSON) - Aggressive business diversification efforts. Comprehensive infrastructure improvements. Strong public-private partnerships. These are a few of the reasons why Anderson has been selected as the Indiana Chamber of Commerce’s 2007 Community of the Year.
Among the accomplishments: a 370 million dollar investment in a Nestle beverage manufacturing and distribution facility, creating 300 new jobs when the facility opens in 2008, the flagship business park providing a strong gateway from the south side of the community to nearby Hamilton and Marion counties and infrastructure investments in roads, sidewalks, sewers and broadband capabilities.
