(INDIANAPOLIS) - Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield has opened a community resource center in Indianapolis that will provide outreach services to families enrolled in the state’s health insurance program for children.

The other centers are located in Evansville, Columbus, and Merrillville.

The facility will provide Hoosier Healthwise members resources such as referrals, translations, and rides to the doctor.

Family and Social Services Secretary Mitch Roob says opening the center will help improve access to health care. Center Coordinator Julia Brillhart says the centers will help underserved families in the community.

While the community resource centers are designed to help those in Hoosier Healthwise, they will also be available to everyone in the community.
