(UNDATED) - 2007 has been a red hot year for economic development statewide.
The Indiana Economic Development Corporation says 77 deals were closed in the first six months of 2007, resulting in more than 10-thousand jobs and nearly two-billion dollars in investment.
Auto manufacturing and information technology make up nearly 50 percent of those deals.
Indiana Secretary of Commerce Nate Feltman tells Inside Indiana Business that manufacturing is alive and well in Indiana and is a growth opportunity for the state.
