Transmission Plant To Be Built In Tipton

(TIPTON) - Governor Mitch Daniels, Chrysler, GETRAG and UAW officials were on hand this afternoon to announce plans for a new joint venture transmission plant in Tipton.
Inside Indiana Business first reported last week that the companies will invest $455-million dollars in the facility that is expected to create about 1,170 jobs.
