Thomson Factory Fire Deemed An Accident

(MARION) - The June 13th fire that demolished the former Thomson factory in Marion was an accident.
That's according to a report issued Thursday by the Marion Fire Department.
Investigators say the blaze began when workers using propane torches to remove power boxes caught insulation on fire. Investigators also say they took photos of the fire site, which showed flames starting in the areas where workers were cutting the power boxes.
Fire crews from across the region converged on Marion to battle the blaze.
