Fireplace Manufacturer To Expand
(HUNTINGTON) - One of North America’s largest fireplace and stove manufacturers is closing its Ontario plant to expand its facility in Huntington.
CFM's 4.5-million-dollar expansion will bring 210 new jobs to the city. CFM's Huntington plant currently employs 297 people.
Mayor Terry Abbott expects the consolidation to improve housing and other economic conditions in the community.
CFM President Larry Robinette says locating there puts the company in easy reach of its Midwestern and Northeastern customer base.
The company will receive 3-million dollars in state and local incentives.
