(SOUTH BEND) - The city of South Bend has announced a plan to reduce the amount of abandoned and vacant housing in the city.
The plan calls for the demolition of 400 homes and the revitalization of 45 properties in targeted neighborhoods.
The plan also includes a public-private partnership to attract new homeowners, with 45 homes made available to nonprofit community development corporations.
