(MOUNT VERNON) - The Saudi Arabian company that bought G.E. Plastics claims it will not reduce the number of employees at a Mount Vernon plant.
General Electric says it plans to sell its plastics division for about $11.6-billion to Saudi Basic industries Corporation.
The factory in Mount Vernon employs more than 1,400 people. It's been the largest employer in Posey County for nearly 50 years.
