(BATESVILLE) - Hospital bed manufacturer Hill Rom announced Tuesday that Batesville has been selected as its site for a new innovation center. That means 80 high paying jobs for the corporate headquarters.

Governor Daniels joined community leaders and Hill Rom CEO Peter Soderberg in making the announcement. Soderberg says the company picked Batesville as the hub because of its first class customer center and large factory.

The state offered tax credits of up to 2 million over 10 years. In exchange for training grants Hill Rom has agreed to meet job creation requirements and maintain a percentage of its employment base in Indiana.

The innovation center, formerly the corporate headquarters building, will include a complete renovation, but the bulk of the investment will be for the job creations.
