(COLUMBUS) - Columbus-based Cummins, Inc. may having falling sales and profits in 2007, but the company’s CEO says results will still rank among the best in company history.
Tim Solso says the engine maker has become a much more diversified company. Cummins has produced three consecutive record years with combined net profit of more than one point six billion.
The company for the first time has launched entries into light-duty diesel markets in China and the U.S. Daimler-Chrysler is the first major customer of Cummins' light-duty diesel engine. Solso says Cummins has designed or introduced 30 new products that aim to meet new stringent emissions standards.
