Cingular To Open Call Center In Evansville

(EVANSVILLE) - Governor Mitch Daniels will join AT&T executives in Evansville today to make what is being described as a major jobs announcement.
"Inside Indiana Business" recently reported that Cingular Wireless, which is owned by AT&T, has selected Evansville as the site for a major new call center that could employ more than 500 workers.
The new facility is expected to handle calls for Cingular's business customers and is the latest in a series of call center announcements by the nation's second-largest wireless carrier.
