Camrys Roll Off Indiana Production Line

(LAFAYETTE) - Toyota Camry production is underway at Lafayette’s Subaru of Indiana automotive plant.
The first official product of the Toyota-SIA partnership rolled off the assembly line Friday. Eventually, the plant will produce 100-thousand Camrys each year.
Governor Mitch Daniels believes Toyota's presence in Lafayette is another strong development for the auto sector of Indiana's economy. He says it is the only state to have three major automotive investments in the past year.
Daniels adds Indiana is also the only state to have two Toyota production facilities. The automaker has a truck plant in Princeton.
The Camry line in Lafayette will lead to the addition of 1000 jobs.
