TJX Computer Breach Worse Than Thought
(UNDATED) - TJX Companies, which owns T.J. Maxx, Marshalls, Homegoods and A.J. Wright Stores, says a computer breach it announced in January is much bigger than originally thought.
In a filing with the securities and exchange commission, the company says hackers stole information from at least 45.-7 million credit and debit cards over an 18-month period.
The company says data stolen covers transactions dating back to December 2002.
