Auction To Be Held At Defunct Anderson Business

(ANDERSON) - Company representatives from the Midwest this week are visiting the defunct Guide Corporation Plant in Anderson, bidding on equipment being sold at the first of four planned auctions.
More than 5,500 items are for sale--ranging from 25-dollar metal tables to ten-ton cranes.
Prior to stopping production, the Anderson Guide plant was the last of the former General Motors operations in the city that once employed 27,000 people.
