BEDFORD – The 8th Annual Becky’s Place Run for Hope 5K, Family Fun Walk is set to return for an in-person race, to benefit the shelter and assist those who are in need on Thursday, November 24th starting at 9 a.m. at the Milwaukee Depot Building at the corner of 14th and J streets.
The race will feature a new course route and participants of all ages and abilities are welcome and encouraged to be a part of this fun, family-friendly event that is designed to promote healthy activity and wellness while benefiting one of Lawrence County’s premiere charities.
The race has plenty of spots available for community members to join in the fun in helping benefit the shelter, while also promoting a healthy lifestyle. The cost of the race includes:
- 5K Adult (Before October 31) – $17
- 5K Adult (After October 31) – $20
- 5K 18 & Under (Before October 31) – $12
- 5K 18 & Under (After October 31) – $15
- 1 Mile Fun Walk – $10
- T-Shirt (Order by November 14) – $12
- T-Shirt (After November 14) – $15
All participants will start and finish the race in downtown Bedford at the Milwaukee Depot. Enjoy a festive atmosphere with music, friends, family, and snacks before and after the race at the start/finish line and during your time on the course.
The first finishing male and female will receive a trophy and all participants will receive a Finisher Medal for participating in the Becky’s Place 5K and 1 Mile Fun Walk. 5k participants will also receive a time when finishing.
The event is still looking to add sponsors for the event and include:
- Platinum – $1,000
- Gold – $500
- Silver – $300
