Pumpkins and great fall decorations can be found at the Bloomington Community Farmers’ Market Saturday

BLOOMINGTON – Pumpkin season begins around mid-September and lasts throughout October and November. Take advantage of this great fall weather and head over to the Bloomington Community Farmers’ Market and make your choice.

The farmers’ market has new fall hours beginning this Saturday through November. The market will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 1 p.m.

Pumpkin-flavored foods are one of the best parts of fall and just in time for fall decorations or savory pies. Don’t forget to save the seeds for roasting.

UkeTones will perform Saturday

The UkeTones will be performing at 11:15 a.m. this Saturday at the Farmers’ Market.

Bloomington’s only ukulele band features three women who all wear glasses.

Mayor at the Market

Mayor at the Market is a community outreach program that invites Market-goers to interact with the mayor and various department heads from the City of Bloomington government. From the arts to potholes – any city-related topic you are interested in is up for discussion.

John Zody, Director of the Department of Housing and Neighborhood Development, will be greeting the public from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at this Saturday’s Farmers’ Market.

The Farmers’ Market Advisory Council

The Farmers’ Market Advisory Council represents market vendors, customers, and food and beverage artisans.

The Council acts in an advisory capacity on policy matters relating to the Farmers’ Market.

The next meeting is scheduled for Monday, October 17th, from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m.
