Stars suffer three losses at Indian Creek

BNL, even with some good moments, went 0-3 during Saturday’s tournament at Indian Creek.

TRAFALGAR – Bedford North Lawrence went 0-3 during Saturday’s tournament at Indian Creek.

The Stars suffered a 25-10, 25-19 loss to Indian Creek in the opening match, fell to Alexandria 25-19, 25-14 in the second, then capped the day with a 25-13, 25-12 loss to Greencastle.

“It feels like once we put our uniform on, we immediately feel like we are facing Goliath,” BNL coach Whitney Carroll said. “We have the David fight in us, but they act like someone took every stone in sight away.”

BNL (0-9) suffered an additional loss when Annie Waggoner was sidelined with a back injury against Alexandria.

Cali Mansker paced the Stars with 15 digs during the three matches, Hayley Davis totaled 13 digs, Waggoner had 11 digs in limited duty, Sammie Gratzer had 4 kills and 8 digs, and Anna Williams contributed 4 blocks.

BNL will host White River Valley on Monday.
