Three people were arrested after police received a tip about drug activity

HELTONVILLE – On Saturday, June 18, 2022, during an unrelated case, Bedford Police officers received information that Heather Deckard, 40, of 179 Mundell Estates in Heltonville was dealing methamphetamine out of her residence. Using the information obtained, police secured a search warrant for the home.

Officers with the Bedford Police Department SWAT Team and other officers executed the search warrant on the residence. During the course of serving the search warrant, Officers encountered Todd Voorhies in the front yard, Heather Deckard, Delton Roberson, and Greg Carmichael all in the home. All the subjects were detained during the course of the investigation.

During a search of the residence, Officers located multiple baggies, multiple plates containing a crystal meth residue, multiple glass smoking devices, multiple pills, and marijuana all in the main bedroom. The pills located were preliminarily identified as Clonazepam, a Schedule 4 controlled substance, Ketrolac Tromethamine, and Promethazine Hydrochloride which are both prescription-only but not controlled substances. In the living room area, on a coffee table, officers found marijuana. 

Police also found multiple glass smoking devices locatedin the bedroom. On the couch next to where 46 year-old Delton Roberson, of Springville,  was seated was a cut plastic straw containing crystal meth. Roberson was arrested on charges of possession of meth, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

While talking with 58-year-old Greg Carmichael, of Springville, police found a glass smoking pipe in his pocket. He was arrested on charges of possession of meth, and possession marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Deckard, 40 was arrested on charges of possession of meth, possession of marijuana, possession of a legend drug, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Todd Voorhies was released without any charges.
