BARTHOLOMEW CO. — Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Dave O’Mara Contractor Inc. plans to close State Road 46 between U.S. 31 and County Road 450 East in Bartholomew County on or after Monday, June 27, to replace a pipe.

The road is expected to remain closed through Friday, July 1. Traffic will be routed along the official detour that will follow U.S. 31, S.R. 7, U.S. 50 and S.R. 3. Access will be maintained for local residents.
This work is part of a $3.7 million contract that includes patching, milling, and paving on S.R. 46, between S.R. 7 and S.R. 9. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, avoid distractions, and stay vigilant of workers and equipment when traveling through active construction zones.
