GRANT CO. – Today, at approximately 4:15 a.m., officers from the Indiana State Police and the Grant County Sheriff’s Department responded to a single-vehicle crash on State Road 22 near Grant County Road 800 West, in which a Florida man died.
The preliminary crash investigation by Senior Trooper Jeremy Perez and Senior Trooper A.J. Coffee revealed that Alian Izquierdo, 29, Kissimmee, FL man was driving a 2011 Dodge Dakota pickup truck eastbound on State Road 22 near County Road 800 West. For an undetermined reason, the truck traveled off the north side of State Road 22 and hit a tree.
Izquierdo was pronounced deceased at the crash scene.
This is an ongoing investigation. At this time, neither the use of alcohol nor narcotics is suspected of having contributed to the crash.
