BEDFORD – The Bedford Board of Works met in a special meeting Wednesday to authorize the condemnation of three lots in the Oak Manor Subdivision in preparation for the Spider Creek Lift Station project.
This move comes after the city and Delbert Schulenburg owner of Hand Me Up LLC and the three properties could not agree on a purchase price. Due to this, the city will use eminent domain to gain access to the properties.
The condemnation process will move forward with the court appointing two appraisals and a property owner to determine an appraisal price for the three lots.
