Man was arrested after breaking into a home and violating a protective order

BEDFORD – An Avoca man was arrested when Bedford Police officers were called to 1911 12th Street at 2:13 p.m. after a report of a male breaking into the home.

The caller said 28-year-old Gage Sanders was inside of the caller’s home and she had an active protective order in place against Sanders.

When officers arrived they repeatedly knocked on the door, but no one would answer.

Sanders then exited the front door. Sanders was talking on the phone with the homeowner who had contacted the police. 

Sanders told the officers, that he knew he should not be at the home, but the female homeowner had given him permission to stay there. 

Sanders was arrested on a charge of invasion of privacy and transported to the Lawrence County Jail.
