Woman sentenced to prison on a charge of possession of child pornography

BEDFORD – Lawrence Superior Court II Judge Bob Cline sentenced a Mitchell woman to 4 years in the Indiana Department of Correction after she pleaded guilty to her crime as a part of a negotiated plea agreement with the State of Indiana.

Leslie Winkler, of Mitchell, was sentenced to the Indiana Department of Corrections on a Level 5 felony charge of possession of child pornography. Winkler will serve 3 years executed in the Indiana Department of Corrections and 1 year on sex offender probation. Winkler is required by law to register as a sex offender for 10 years.

Winkler pled guilty to the charge saying she was viewing these images with her husband, Brennan Winkler.

Leslie Winkler cooperated with law enforcement, and her husband Brennan Winkler was sentenced to 7 years in the Indiana Department of Corrections in April 2022 for dissemination of child pornography, a Level 4 felony.
