GM Bedford rescheduling free electronics recycling day

BEDFORD – Most electronics are 100% recyclable, and most households have older electronics taking up valuable space on shelves and in closets.

In observance of World Environment Day, on Wednesday, June 8th from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. you can recycle most electronic waste for free thanks to General Motor’s environmental team at Bedford Casting Operations at 105 GM Drive in Bedford.

The GM Environmental Team offers FREE electronic recycling for most items with a power cord or circuit board including the following items:

  • Batteries                                          
  • Cameras
  • Printers                                     
  • CD Players/DVD Players
  • Radios                                               
  • Cell Phones/Smart Phones
  • Small Home Appliances                
  • Computers/Keyboards/Mouse
  • Other Electronic Devices             
  • Gaming Consoles/Systems                                                        

These items will NOT be accepted:                                       

  • Refrigerant Units                            
  • Light Bulbs
  • Small Engines                                  
  • Smoke Detectors
  • Thermostats
