Traebor Champ Stromatt

March 9, 1935 – April 14, 2022

Traebor Champ Stromatt, 87, of Norman, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2022, surrounded by his
wife and two sons at Autumn Trace in Bedford.

Born March 9, 1935, in Chicago, IL, he was the son of Fred Champ Stromatt and Golda (Sears) Stromatt-Martin. He married Charlene Wood on September 21, 1973, and she survives. He retired as Director of Manufacturing Engineering from Emerson Electric. He was a Captain with the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Coast Guard and a member of the Free Methodist Church. He was a loving husband, dad, granddad, and a great provider. He loved to travel the world.

Survivors include his wife, Charlene, of Norman; three sons, Jeffrey Scott Stromatt, Rick Dean Stromatt, and Scott Champ Stromatt; a daughter, Michele Lynn Fant; grandchildren, Jasmine Stromatt, Tara Stromatt, Brooke Stromatt, Lydia Stromatt, Jack Champ Stromatt, Audrey Stromatt, Julia Stromatt, Grace Stromatt, Chase and Tanner Fant, Jacob Champ Stromatt, Joseph Champ Stromatt, and Joshua Champ Stromatt; a great-grandson, Colton Spalding.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Brett Champ Stromatt, and a sister, Shelly Pausek. It all boils down to this! The Purpose of Life. To have something to look forward to. To have someone to share it with. Paraphrased by T. C. Stromatt.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 16th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter
Mortuary. Burial will follow in the Mitchell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until the hour of service
on Saturday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
